Dr. Sheila Moore is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Florida A&M University, where she taught in Master’s and Doctoral Programs and chaired dissertations. Her affiliations include roles with the Florida Association of Professors of Educational Leadership (FAPEL), Florida Department of Education, Southern Regional Council on Educational Administrators (SRCEA), American Education Research Association (AERA), and American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE).
Dr. Moore’s research focuses on leadership preparation programs, clinical practices, social justice in school leadership (particularly female leadership in urban contexts), and mentoring/doctoral student development. She has received teaching, research, and mentoring awards and was invited to review manuscripts for the Teachers College Record.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Auburn University. She has extensive experience as a former teacher and school leader, contributing to her expertise in educational leadership and policy.
