Shayla Lynn Blake

Shayla Lynn Blake serves as an Instructor in the Department of Music within the College of Liberal Arts at Louisiana Tech University, teaching piano, flute, songwriting, and Choral Arranging while working as a staff accompanist. Previously, she held positions as collaborative pianist at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and maintained a private studio for instrumental instruction.

Her educational background includes Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance from Texas Tech University, where she earned competitive recognition through university-wide concerto competitions. As a composer-arranger, her creative work spans choral and piano compositions published by major industry publishers including Lorenz, Shawnee Press, and Hal Leonard.
