Shaun Fleming is an Associate Professor at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University, and Head of the Myeloid Diseases Service at Alfred Health. His work focuses on clinical and translational research in Acute Leukaemia, including novel therapies, measurable residual disease (MRD), and machine learning-driven prognostic systems. He leads national studies on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) and Myelodysplasia, supervising clinical PhD students in these areas. He is a Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials involving companies like Amgen, Abbvie, and Novartis.
Education: PhD completed in 2023. External roles include Haematologist at Epworth Healthcare. Research collaborations include the ACRF Centre for Dynamic Immuno-Oncology and projects on novel therapeutics in AML and ALL.
Recent projects include Phase 1/3 trials evaluating new therapies for AML and ALL, with a focus on safety, efficacy, and patient outcomes. His work aligns with UN SDGs related to health and innovation.
