Dr. Natasha Anstee is a Research Scientist at Alfred Hospital and affiliated with the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases at Monash University. She specializes in leukemia research, focusing on correlative studies for AML clinical trials, measurable residual disease (MRD) tracking via NGS assays, and clonal evolution analysis using single-cell technologies. Her work contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health).
Education:
- PhD in Medical Research from The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (2015), supervised by Prof. Suzanne Cory.
- Postdoctoral Research Fellow at German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) and HI-STEM (2017–2019), studying hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal.
Research Interests: Stem cells, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), clonal evolution, and translational therapies. She investigates therapeutic resistance mechanisms and molecular pathways in leukemia, with a focus on precision medicine approaches.
Labs/Teams: Leads correlative studies in the Leukemia Research Group under A/Prof. Andrew Wei, contributing to trials like INTERCEPT and VALDAC.
