Dr. Sharyn Goudie holds multiple roles at Flinders University: Research Fellow at the Social Work Innovation Research Living Space (SWIRLS), Casual Professional in the College of Business, Government and Law, and Casual Academic in the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. She earned a PhD in Sociology, Criminology, and Gender Studies (University of Adelaide), an MPA (Flinders University), and Bachelors in Social Work and Communications (Flinders and University of South Australia).
Her research focuses on domestic violence, homelessness, and social policy, particularly supporting vulnerable populations. Recent projects include strengthening the domestic violence workforce and home-centered care for children. Her work aligns with UN SDGs addressing poverty reduction and social justice.
Key publications (2025) explore domestic violence survivor housing, youth violence, and illicit firearms. Earlier work (2008–2021) addresses youth homelessness and drug trafficking. She collaborates widely, with grants and policy impact in Australia.
