Shariful Huq is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler. He holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (1999), a Master of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1989), and a Bachelor of Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (1984). His teaching focuses on structural engineering, including courses in mechanics of materials, structural analysis, and construction management. Dr. Huq’s research emphasizes dynamic structural systems, particularly under ocean wave, blast, and seismic loads, alongside structural health monitoring and condition assessment techniques.
