Dr. AHM Huq is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at Wayne State University and serves as the Director of the Children's Hospital of Michigan Gene Bank Research Facility. He holds a medical degree from Dhaka Medical College and a Ph.D. from Tokushima University School of Medicine in Japan.

- Training: Residency in Pediatrics (1991-1992) and Neurology (1992-1993) at Wayne State University; Fellowship in Genetics (1993-1996) at Baylor College of Medicine and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of British Columbia.
His research focuses on neurogenetic disorders, particularly the genetic basis of autism, developmental delay, and epilepsy. He has contributed to studies on metabolic diseases and neurocutaneous syndromes, with funding in these areas.
Dr. Huq’s publications from 2002-2004 highlight his work on gene associations in autism and somatic mosaicism in Sturge Weber Syndrome, reflecting expertise in neurogenetics and molecular diagnostics.
He is affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Michigan, where his lab investigates genetic mechanisms in pediatric neurological conditions.
