Shannon Paige Clark is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Research Affiliate of the Black Studies Department. Her work intersects educational policy, Black studies, and leadership, focusing on anti-racist practices and systemic reform in schooling systems.

Her research emphasizes humanizing, participatory methods grounded in lived experiences, particularly addressing hyper-segregation, educational equity, and community partnerships. Recent projects include examining Evanston’s reparations initiative and documenting struggles for Black educational justice in Chicago’s 5th Ward.
Selected publications highlight trends in anti-racist leadership, systemic inequities in school organization, and policy critiques. Her 2024 documentary Stolen School and op-eds in Chalkbeat and Chicago Tribune analyze segregation and resource disparities. Earlier works (2021–2018) focus on organizational learning and equity-driven leadership frameworks.
Clark collaborates with Dr. Kihana Miraya Ross and the Shorefront Legacy Center, and maintains active engagement with schools, families, and students to bridge research and practice.
