Shalin Kothari, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Hematology) at Yale University and a Core Faculty member of the Medical Oncology and Hematology Fellowship Program. He specializes in treating lymphomas, particularly mantle cell lymphoma, and conducts translational research in the Müschen Lab. His research focuses on mechanistic understanding of lymphoma therapeutics and early-phase clinical trials. He completed his MD at Gujarat University, residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Kothari's research interests include cancer metabolism, therapeutic vulnerabilities in B-cell lymphomas, and clinical trial development. He leads the Cancer Biology Training Program and is involved in trials targeting B-cell malignancies. Notable awards include the LRF Scholar Award and induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He mentors postdoctoral fellows and collaborates with institutions globally.
His clinical trials focus on novel therapies for mantle cell lymphoma and other B-cell cancers, including studies on MALT1 inhibitors and GSK3B inhibitors. He is affiliated with Yale Cancer Center, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Program, and the Katz Lab.
