Shaila Pal is the Director of Clinical Legal Education and a Supervising Solicitor at King’s Legal Clinic, part of the Dickson Poon School of Law at King's College London. With a background as a legal aid solicitor specializing in refugee law, human trafficking, and public law, she transitioned to academia as a Lecturer and Module Leader for Immigration Law and Clinical Legal Education. She chairs the Pro Bono and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee for Westminster and Holborn Law Society, emphasizing access to justice and support for vulnerable communities. Her research focuses on systemic legal injustices, including the Windrush Compensation Scheme and refugee family reunification barriers.
Shaila has led initiatives such as the Windrush Justice Clinic and Climate Justice Month, fostering student engagement in pro bono work and climate-related legal challenges.
