Sue Willman is an Assistant Director of King’s Legal Clinic and Senior Lecturer in Law at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. She specializes in human rights and environmental law, with a focus on climate justice and strategic litigation. Her roles include supervising legal clinics and collaborating with global initiatives to address environmental and social justice issues.
Education: LLM in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University. Affiliations include the Climate Law and Governance Centre at King’s and public interest firm Deighton Pierce Glynn.
Research interests emphasize the Rights of Nature framework, transnational environmental harms, and legal strategies to combat climate emergencies. Notable projects include launching the UK’s first Human Rights and Environmental Law Clinics, developing the 'Rights of Nature Toolkit,' and supporting cross-cultural legal modules in India.
