Dr. Shahrooz Shahparvari is a Senior Lecturer in Supply Chain and Logistics at RMIT University's School of Accounting, Information Systems, and Supply Chain. He holds a PhD and previously served as a Pro-Vice-Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Supply Chain and Logistics at RMIT (2017–2020). His research focuses on decision support systems, optimization, and analytics for supply chain resilience, sustainability, and disaster management. He has published extensively in top-tier journals such as Transportation Research Part A, Omega, and Computers & Operations Research.
Dr. Shahparvari’s teaching and research emphasize practical industry-driven solutions, including technological transformations in supply chains, humanitarian logistics, and urban planning. He has received multiple awards, including the 2023 Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award and the 2022 Dean’s Research Excellence Award, highlighting his contributions to both education and scholarship.
His work spans disaster management analytics, emergency evacuation modeling, and sustainable logistics networks. Notable projects include optimizing vaccination distribution during the pandemic, enhancing wildfire detection with drone-truck coordination, and improving port efficiency through data-driven models.
