Shahin Assadinia is an Associate Professor in Marketing at Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. He joined in June 2015 after a career in the automotive industry as Head of International Marketing and consultancy roles. He holds a BSc in Industrial Management (University of Tehran), an MBA (Carleton University), and a PhD in Marketing (University of Leeds). His research focuses on international marketing strategy, exporting dynamics, emerging markets, and SME performance. He has published in top journals like Journal of International Marketing, International Business Review, and Industrial Marketing Management, and his work won the 2019 S. Tamer Cavusgil Award.
Teaching includes MSc courses on Marketing Theory & Practice and Strategic Marketing Management. He also teaches structural equation modeling (using EQS). Key research interests include internationalization processes, online buying behavior, and export marketing capabilities. He actively supervises PhD students in these areas.
Collaborations span institutions globally, addressing topics like renewable energy adoption in Saudi Arabia, dynamic capabilities of emerging firms, and export performance moderation factors. His work bridges academic theory with practical marketing challenges in diverse markets.
