Shabnam Azimi is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in digital marketing, digital marketing analytics, and research methods in marketing.
Her research focuses on consumer judgment and decision-making, particularly how online information and individual differences influence behavior. Key areas include procrastination, fake online reviews, and valence asymmetry—especially the heightened impact of negative fake information.
Her recent publications appear in top-tier journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and Journal of Advertising. The body of her work reveals a consistent interest in how digital environments shape consumer vulnerabilities, trust, and decision biases. She investigates both cognitive mechanisms and contextual factors affecting online behavior.
