Sevde Korkut is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. Her research focuses on membrane technology, nanofiltration, wastewater treatment, and the application of nanomaterials in environmental engineering. She has contributed to advancements in composite membranes, desalination, and boron removal from industrial wastewater.
Her work emphasizes the development of innovative materials like carbon-based quantum dots, silver nanoparticles, and halloysite nanotubes to enhance membrane performance. Key topics include chemical stability of polyethersulfone membranes, photocatalytic pretreatment for textile wastewater, and pilot-scale applications of nanofiltration.
Dr. Korkut collaborates internationally and has published extensively in journals such as Separation and Purification Technology, Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, and Journal of Environmental Engineering.
