Seri Lee is a Teaching Professor in Korean Language at the University of Sheffield's School of Languages, Arts and Societies, affiliated with the East Asian Studies department. Employed since 2014, her role focuses on teaching advanced Korean language and translation courses, alongside developing digital microlearning resources using Xerte toolkits. She holds a BA from Sookmyung Women’s University and an MA from the University of Sheffield.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered approaches, prioritizing motivation and practical language application. She integrates translation as a pedagogical tool to enhance target language comprehension and cultural awareness. She instructs modules such as EAS21010-21014 (Korean Language 3A/3B, 4A/4B) and EAS3045-3046 (Korean Language 5/6).
Her research interests bridge Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theory with educational practice, particularly exploring digital tools for language learning.
