Sergia Avveduti

Sergia Avveduti is a Professor at ABABO, where she teaches courses in Drawing for Sculpture, Phenomenology of the Body, and Techniques and Technologies of Visual Arts. Her academic focus bridges artistic practice with theoretical exploration of space, perception, and embodiment.

Her research interests span multiple dimensions of contemporary art practice:

• Interpretation of art history archives
• Relationship between space and perception in artistic representation
• Contemporary sculpture and drawing methodologies
• Phenomenological approaches to bodily experience in art
• Interdisciplinary connections between video, installation, photography and traditional media

Professor Avveduti has exhibited her artwork extensively across European institutions including the Monte Bologna Foundation, Palazzo Ducale Mantua, Triennale Milan, MAMbo Bologna, and numerous other galleries and cultural spaces from Brussels to Belgrade.

Her teaching approach emphasizes experimental practice combined with theoretical grounding, encouraging students to develop their own artistic voice through portfolio development and critical reflection.
