Seraina Grünewald

Prof. Dr. Seraina Grünewald is a Professor of International Business Law and Financial Law at the Law School of the University of St. Gallen, holding a part-time professorship at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence since April 1, 2024. She focuses on research and teaching in Central Banks, Digital Finance, and Sustainable Finance.

Her research emphasizes the intersection of financial regulation, digital currency innovation, and climate risk integration into macroprudential policies. She advises international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank.

Recent publications highlight trends in prudential banking regulation, climate risk mitigation, and digital euro governance, reflecting her expertise in regulatory frameworks for financial stability and sustainable systems.
