Seiamak Bahram

Seiamak Bahram is a Professor and Scientific Lead (PU-PH) at the University of Strasbourg's Faculty of Medicine, where he directs a multidisciplinary research team focused on immunogenetics and histocompatibility. His laboratory is part of the Laboratory of Excellence (LabEx) TRANSPLANTEX, a national initiative gathering over 200 staff members. He also participates in the Hospital-University Federation (FHU) OMICARE and the PACIFIC Institute dedicated to personalized medicine for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

Dr. Bahram's research spans immunogenetics, histocompatibility, and the pathophysiology of inborn errors of immunity. His team employs high-throughput genomics, multi-omics strategies, and molecular/cell biology techniques to investigate immune system diversity and responses. Key research areas include transplantation immunology, autoimmune diseases like systemic sclerosis and primary Sjögren's disease, and the function of MHC class I molecules including MICA and MICB. His work bridges basic science with clinical applications, particularly in diagnostic development for immune disorders.

Analysis of Dr. Bahram's recent publications reveals a strong focus on primary immunodeficiency disorders, autoinflammatory conditions, and histocompatibility.
