Neil S. Greenspan

Neil S. Greenspan is a Professor of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Director of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He holds dual MD and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, with additional training in Molecular Immunology at Washington University and Clinical Pathology at Barnes Hospital.

Dr. Greenspan's research focuses on immune recognition mechanisms, pathogen immunity, and transplantation immunogenetics, with applications to evolutionary medicine and human genetics. His recent work includes studies on autoimmune diabetes suppression via natural antibodies and pandemic-related linguistic analysis.

As Senior Editor of Pathogens and Immunity, he contributes to academic publishing. Scientific awards include Harvard's Detur Prize, AAAS Fellowship, and multiple accolades during his medical training.
