Dr. Seema Miglani is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Data Analytics at La Trobe University, Australia. She holds a PhD from La Trobe University and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with certifications in audit practices. Her research focuses on corporate governance, auditing, financial reporting, and sustainability accounting. She has received the 2017 Pro Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award for innovative blended-learning approaches and a Dean's recognition for teaching excellence.
Education: PhD (La Trobe University), Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ), Lead Auditor Certification (PwC). She has supervised research on integrated reporting's externalities and contributed to funded projects like the AFAANZ grant examining digital technology in sustainability reporting (2024–2025).
Her research explores intersections between corporate governance structures, financial distress, gender diversity impacts, and audit practices. Recent work includes studies on sustainability assurance quality, family firm financing, and human capital efficiency in Australian institutions.
