Sebastian Seemann is a Research Associate at the Heidelberg Center for Jewish Studies, affiliated with the Chair of Bible and Jewish Biblical Interpretation. He actively contributes to the DFG-funded long-term project Corpus Masoreticum, focusing on the philology and material culture of Hebrew Bible manuscripts. Previously, he worked at Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main and Heidelberg University on interdisciplinary projects related to ritual dynamics and material text cultures.

Publications include studies on the Sefer Okhla we-Okhla recensions and their relationship to Masoretic lists in manuscripts like MS Berlin Or. Fol. 1213. Key themes involve manuscript materiality, scribal annotations, and the structural logic of Masoretic compendia.
