Seb O'Connor is a Lecturer in Rural Economy, Environment, and Society at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC). His research focuses on the 'economy-environment-democracy' nexus, emphasizing value pluralism and democratic decision-making processes in environmental governance. He holds a PhD titled Living Well with Water, exploring social values in Flood Risk Management. O'Connor teaches on the MSc in Ecological Economics, covering courses like Foundations in Ecological Economics, Environmental Valuation, and Centring Racial Justice in Sustainability Transformations. His work critiques technocratic governance, advocating for participatory and arts-based methods to address ecological crises.
