Current projects explore Canada’s legal stance during the Vietnam War, comparative analyses of Australia and Canada in Afghanistan and Iraq, the crime of aggression negotiations, and the broader politics of international criminal law.
Publications & Impact:
His 2021 monograph Unbound in War? (University of Toronto Press) and co-edited volume The Politics of International Criminal Law (Brill, 2021) anchor a corpus that has appeared in leading journals such as the Asian Journal of International Law and the Journal on the Use of Force and International Law. The work collectively advances debate on when and how legal norms constrain state violence.
