Dr Scott Threlfall is an Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer at the University of Bolton, currently serving as Programme Leader for six Master's in Education pathways since 2019. He leads national and international academic networks focused on teaching, learning, and scholarly activities.

Scott's research focuses on reflective practice, teacher noticing, and autoethnography. His work explores using video observation technology to enhance trainee teachers' reflective skills and pedagogical practices in the FE and Skills Sector. Recent publications analyze frameworks for teacher noticing, reflective assessment tools, and instructional design principles.
He employs a humanistic leadership style, emphasizing coaching and mentoring to empower teams. Scott also acts as a peer reviewer for three international journals, contributing to academic rigor in educational research.
