Laura de-la-Hay

Laura de-la-Hay is a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education: Science at the University of Worcester, having joined in 2024. With a background as a secondary school teacher and Key Stage 3 lead, she brings extensive classroom experience to support trainee teachers. Her qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Biology, a PGCE in Secondary Science with SEND, and an NPQ in Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD). She is currently pursuing an MA in Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

Her research interests focus on Assessment for Learning and teacher professional development, emphasizing strategies to enhance classroom practices and educator growth. Laura has mentored PGCE students for six years and supported Early Career Teachers (ECTs), fostering a supportive environment for educators at all stages.
