Dr Scott Summers is an Associate Professor in Business Law at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Business School and a faculty member of the Centre for Competition Policy. He specializes in Data Protection, EU Competition Law, and the UK Criminal Cartel Offence. He teaches modules on Business and Company Law, Practical Law for Managers, and Marketing: Social Responsibility and the Law. Summers advises the UK Data Archive’s Information Security Management Group and Studious Digital Education on data protection. His research focuses on antitrust enforcement, data management ethics, and oil/gas law. He has published widely, including a 2019 book on research data management and a 2024 analysis of veterinary sector consolidation. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to responsible consumption and industry innovation.
