Scott Morgan

Dr. Scott C. Morgan is an Associate Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the University of Ottawa and a radiation oncologist at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia, a Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University, and a Master of Science in Clinical Trials from the University of London. After completing a fellowship in genitourinary clinical oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital, he established his practice in Ottawa in 2010, focusing on genitourinary and breast malignancies.

His research interests include evidence synthesis, large observational studies, and multicenter clinical trials, with a focus on prostate cancer outcomes and guideline development. He has contributed to pivotal studies on treatment response prediction, radiotherapy efficacy, and therapeutic monitoring. Dr. Morgan is Co-Chair of the Genitourinary Guideline Advisory Group of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and serves on the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Guidelines Subcommittee. He leads steering committees for four large-scale phase III trials in prostate cancer and is a key member of NRG Oncology and the Canadian Cancer Trials Group.

Notable publications include work on the long-term renal function outcomes of stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy and the efficacy of combined therapies in metastatic prostate cancer. His leadership roles in professional organizations and steering committees highlight his commitment to advancing evidence-based oncology practices.
