Jeff M. Michalski

Jeff Michalski is Professor of Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine, Vice-Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Director of the Clinical Division, and Chief of the Genitourinary Service. He has been board-certified in radiation oncology since 1991 and holds fellowships from ASTRO and the American College of Radiology. His clinical practice focuses on genitourinary cancers, prostate cancer, pediatric radiation oncology, and advanced radiation therapies like IMRT and proton therapy.

Dr. Michalski's research centers on radiation dose escalation for prostate cancer, conformal therapy to reduce pediatric neurocognitive toxicity, and quality-of-life assessments for cancer survivors. He leads the Imaging and Radiation Oncology Core (IROC – St. Louis) and collaborates with NCI GU Cancers Steering Committee, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and VA Quality Assurance programs.

His recent publications analyze dose heterogeneity in bone metastatic prostate cancer, proton therapy efficacy, and toxicity interplay in prostate radiotherapy, reflecting expertise in clinical trials, radiopharmaceuticals, and precision oncology. Over 399 peer-reviewed works include randomized trials and meta-analyses in radiation oncology.
