Scott Gruenbaum is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of St. Francis since 2015. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Miami University (Ohio) and a Ph.D. in Theoretical/Physical Chemistry from Cornell University. Following his doctorate, he completed a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His academic focus lies at the intersection of physics and chemistry, emphasizing theoretical and physical chemistry. Dr. Gruenbaum teaches at the undergraduate level and is actively involved in STEM education. He resides in the Chicago area with his wife (an industrial inorganic chemist), two children, and a cat.
