Scot G. McAfee, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Residency Training Director in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He previously held leadership roles at St. Vincent's Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center, including Chair of the Department of Psychiatry.

His published work addresses adolescent diabetes treatment, psychological trauma from mass disasters like 9/11, inpatient psychiatric unit practices, and medical education innovations such as simulation-based ECT training.
