Saumil Chudgar is the Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs at the Duke University School of Medicine, where he serves as Professor of Medicine and practices as a hospitalist at Duke University Hospital. He has been a Duke faculty member since 2008.
- Education: MD from Duke University, Master of Healthcare Administration from University of North Carolina - Wilmington, Master of Science in Medical Education Leadership from University of New England
- Role: Oversees MD program curriculum, directs Clinical Skills Course, and leads small groups in the Capstone course
- Clinical Role: Hospitalist and educator for medical students/residents at Duke University Hospital
His research focuses on medical education innovations, curriculum design, and clinical skills assessment. Dr. Chudgar has held leadership roles including Assistant Dean for Clinical Education (2021-2025) and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Department of Medicine for seven years.
