Edward Ha, MD, MEHP, is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Assistant Dean for Clinical Education at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed medical school at Northwestern University (2005) and a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency (2009). He also holds a Master’s in Medical Education from Johns Hopkins (2020). His expertise lies in medical education innovation, curriculum development, and patient outcomes research in surgery and obesity management. He has led initiatives such as the 4th year capstone course and clinical skills programming. Dr. Ha has received multiple teaching awards, including the Golden Apple Award (4x) and Excellence in Education Award. His research explores surgical outcomes, bariatric surgery benefits, and nonoperative approaches to appendicitis. He joined UCLA’s Dean’s Office in 2016 to oversee clinical education strategy.
