Saul Humphrey is a part-time Professor of Sustainable Construction at Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and the Built Environment, based in Chelmsford. As Chartered Construction Manager and Managing Partner of Saul D Humphrey LLP (a B Corp certified consultancy), his work focuses on shifting construction paradigms toward sustainability. His educational background includes a PhD from Loughborough University and an MSc (Distinction) from Heriot Watt University.
Humphrey's research centers on sustainable construction methodologies, procurement innovation, and carbon reduction in the built environment. His publications and industry engagements consistently address green building standards, BREEAM certification, and climate-responsible development practices. Current projects include Europe's greenest settlement at Hethel and BREEAM Outstanding complexes in Norfolk/Suffolk.
