Saskia Hufnagel is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London School of Law and holds a full professorship at the University of Sydney Law School. She is Co-Director of the Sydney Institute of Criminology and previously served as Co-Director of Queen Mary’s Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) from 2013–2023. Her academic qualifications include an LLB from the University of Trier and an LLM and PhD from the Australian National University (ANU).

Her contributions include co-editing The Palgrave Handbook on Art Crime (2019) and authoring Policing Global Regions: The Legal Context of Transnational Law Enforcement Cooperation (2021). Her research often intersects with policy advocacy, addressing gaps in global security governance and art market regulation.
Professional activities include advising on UN anti-corruption initiatives and collaborating with institutions like the Centre international de criminologie comparée.
