Sari Fordham

Sari Fordham is Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at SUNY Oswego, focusing on environmental writing, memoir, and feminist narratives. She teaches courses including Creative Nonfiction: Introduction (CRW 208), Fiction Writing: Introduction (CRW 206), and Creative Nonfiction: Advanced (CRW 408). An environmental activist and writer, her work explores personal and ecological themes through literary craft.

Education includes:

• MFA in Literary Nonfiction from University of Minnesota
• MA in Creative Writing from Iowa State University
• BA in History from Southern Adventist University

Publications span literary journals including The Baltimore Review, Green Mountains Review, and Passages North, with research interests in environmental narratives, body politics, and cross-cultural experiences. Her book Wait for God to Notice was shortlisted for the Sarton Award.
