Sarah McKibbin

Sarah McKibbin is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Law and Justice. Her academic career includes roles as a Sessional academic (2015–2017) and Solicitor (2013–2015) at Wonderley & Hall. She holds a PhD from USQ (2020), an LLB(Hons) from USQ (2013), and a GDipLegPrac from ANU (2014). McKibbin's research focuses on Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws, and Legal History, with affiliations to the Centre for Heritage and Culture.

Her work bridges legal theory and practice, examining cross-border legal disputes, historical legal cases, and the evolution of private international law. Notable contributions include co-editing The Common Law Jurisprudence of the Conflict of Laws (2023) and A Legal History for Australia (2021). McKibbin has also authored submissions to the Australian Attorney-General’s Department on international judgment recognition frameworks.
