Her research impacts include advocacy for press freedom through submissions to government inquiries and public discourse. She has advised on legal frameworks for national security, including the definition of 'terrorist acts' and the balance between security and civil liberties. Rebecca’s interdisciplinary approach integrates constitutional theory, criminology, and public law to address contemporary challenges in governance and judicial systems.
