Sarah Matheson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film at Brock University. She holds a PhD from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, along with MA and BA degrees from USC and Queen’s University. Her work focuses on Canadian television studies, gender analysis in media, and urbanism's intersection with popular culture.

Her publications analyze texts like Little Mosque on the Prairie and The Border, exploring themes of cultural diversity, national security discourses, and urban media narratives. She regularly teaches courses on television studies, Canadian media, and cultural theory.
