Dr. Sarah MacIsaac is a Lecturer in Physical Education at the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and Sport, within the Institute for Sport, Physical Education & Health Sciences (ISPEHS). She specializes in the sociology of health, body studies, and digital technologies in educational contexts. Her work critically examines young people's engagements with digital health tools like social media and wearable devices, alongside power dynamics and embodied identities in Physical Education.

- Critical pedagogical approaches in Physical Education
- Ethnographic studies of school health environments
Grants & Projects:
- Una Europa DigihealthPE Project: Co-developing pedagogical frameworks to integrate critical digital health education in schools, with a focus on Physical Education curricula.
PhD Supervision: Currently guiding four students researching topics including trauma-aware pedagogies, PE teachers' handling of eating disorders, digital health app usage among Chinese students, and disability sport experiences.
