Dr. Sarah Levinsky is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Falmouth University, where she teaches across BA Theatre and Performance, BA Dance and Choreography, BA Acting, and BA Technical Theatre Arts programs. Her academic and artistic work centers on co-creation, community engagement, and the intersection of performance with digital technologies.

Sarah's research focuses on co-creating theatre with vulnerable and marginalized communities, exploring how genuine co-creative processes can empower people and improve mental health. She investigates the role of creativity in developing community resilience against climate crisis, the philosophical implications of entanglement theory for digital art, and the application of Forum Theatre across disciplinary boundaries. Her work often integrates hidden digital technologies within live physical events to create meaningful public interactions.
Sarah serves as a Governor for Penryn College and is a member of EQUITY, the union for professional performers. As a consultant arts strategist and fundraiser, she works with organizations developing socially-engaged projects and funding bodies.
Her professional practice spans theatre making, choreography, digital performance, and consultancy. She co-founded Seen Heard Theatre, a collective that creates performances with people experiencing homelessness, and has worked with notable organizations including Studio Wayne McGregor, Theatre Royal Plymouth, London Symphony Orchestra, and Cardboard Citizens.
