Josie Cockram is a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for the MA Fine Art (Online) program at Falmouth University. She holds a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Academy Schools (London), a BA(Hons) in Fine Art: Sculpture from Camberwell College (UAL), and a Foundation Diploma from Falmouth University. Her academic practice integrates studio-based research with pedagogical innovation, emphasizing collaborative knowledge-building and critical discourse in digital art education.

Research Focus
Josie's work explores embodied sound experiences and gendered spatial dynamics through sculpture, photography, moving image, and sound. Her pedagogical research applies Édouard Glissant's ethics of opacity, Doreen Massey's spatial theory, and Luce Irigaray's listening methodologies to develop anti-oppressive digital teaching practices. She co-leads Decentering through Digitality with Glasgow School of Art.
