Kuldip Singh-Barmi serves as a Senior Lecturer for the BA(Hons) Dance & Choreography program at Falmouth University. A former founding member of CandoCo Dance Company with over two decades of professional performance experience, he integrates industry practice into his academic role through teaching, research, and active performance work.

Kuldip's research centers on improvisation as a performance practice and instant composition, exploring contemporary performance textual practices and open work. His investigations bridge theoretical frameworks with embodied practice, examining how spontaneous creation shapes audience-performer relationships in live contexts. This work manifests through both academic inquiry and professional performances that challenge conventional choreographic structures.
