Professor Sarah Jenkins is a sociologist of work and organizations at Cardiff Business School, where she holds the Professor of Human Resource Management title. Her research focuses on the changing nature of work through qualitative studies in diverse organizational contexts, including social care, education, and call centers.

Her core research areas include emotional labor, gender relations in organizations, organizational deception, and cooperative organizational models. Recent work examines care cooperatives and their impact on job quality. She leads Wales activities for the UK-wide IMPACT Centre (2021-2027), funded by the ESRC and Health Foundation to improve evidence-based practice in adult social care.
Her publications include analyses of emotional management in call centers, gender dynamics in teaching, and employee engagement in cooperative models. She won the Roland Calori Prize (2019) for her work on organizational deception with Rick Delbridge.
Teaching engagements include modules on Contemporary Issues in Work and Employment (BSc), Qualitative Research Methods (MSc HRM), and Organizational Research (MSc Social Science). As postgraduate supervisor, she mentors research in emotional labor, cooperative organizations, and workplace ethics.
