Dr. Sarah-Jane Hannah Fenton is an Associate Professor in Mental Health Policy at the University of Birmingham, affiliated with the Health Services Management Centre (HSMC) and the Institute for Mental Health (IMH). She holds a dual PhD from the University of Birmingham and the University of Melbourne, with expertise in youth mental health policy, qualitative research methodologies, and international healthcare system comparisons.

Research Focus: Sarah-Jane's work centers on youth mental health policy, comparative health systems analysis (UK-Australia), and participatory research methods. Her current projects include evaluating the UK's Children and Young People’s Mental Health Green Paper Programme and mapping mental health resources in Colombia's Pacific Region. She co-leads the Innovation in Policy Systems and Services (IPSS) research theme within IMH.
