Gill Williams is a Lecturer in Nursing Sciences (Mental Health) at the School of Health Sciences, University of East Anglia. She has extensive clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health services, including roles at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (2009–2022), and integrates her practice expertise into teaching and curriculum development.
Education:
- BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing (University of East Anglia, 2008)
- PG Dip in Working with Groups (Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, 2011)
- PG Dip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (University of East Anglia, 2016)
Research Interests: Her work focuses on systemic approaches to mental health care for children and adolescents, leveraging Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) frameworks. She specializes in group dynamics, family therapy, and multi-agency collaboration, with particular emphasis on implementing therapeutic interventions in school settings.
Teaching & Practice: Williams contributes to undergraduate mental health nursing education at UEA, serving as module organiser for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health option. She has provided training to social care teams, schools, and partner agencies, while maintaining clinical engagement through roles in community mental health and intensive support services.
