Sarah J Myhill is a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor and Lecturer at the University of Buckingham. She holds a BA(Hons), MArchD, and PG LLD, with a career shift in 2015 to focus on dyslexia support following vision-related challenges. She earned a postgraduate qualification in Language, Literacies, and Dyslexia in Higher Education from the University of Birmingham. Her work integrates creativity and visual methodologies, emphasizing evidenced-based study strategies delivered via workshops and one-on-one sessions. She is an author, a qualified Mindfulness Now teacher, and holds Associate Membership with the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA FE/HE) and the Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE).
Her research interests center on empowering dyslexic students through accessible strategies, including mindfulness, mind mapping, and reading/writing techniques. She also provides dyslexia awareness talks to students, staff, and businesses. Her book Be a Brilliant Dyslexic Student (2022) consolidates her practical approaches to academic success.
While no formal grants or lab affiliations are noted, her work emphasizes collaborative efforts to enhance educational inclusivity. She is SASC Authorised to Identify ADHD in Young People and Adults, extending her support to broader neurodiversity contexts.
