Dr. Sarah Hopkins is a Vivensa Foundation and British Geriatrics Society Clinical Doctoral Fellow and Specialty Registrar in Geriatric and General Internal Medicine at the University of Cambridge's Department of Public Health and Primary Care (PHPC), within the Primary Care Unit (PCU). She is dedicated to improving care for older frailer individuals, their families, and informal carers.
Her educational background includes:
- Medical degree from the University of Cambridge
- Academic Foundation Programme in Geriatric and Stroke Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School
- Core Medical Training in Oxford
Dr. Hopkins' research focuses on geriatric medicine, palliative care, and primary care, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the quality of life and care for elderly and frail patients. Her work is deeply rooted in understanding the needs of older adults and their caregivers, aiming to develop interventions that promote dignity and effective support in community and clinical settings.
