Sarah Giordano is a faculty member at VanderCook College of Music, where she teaches Secondary General Music Methods (6-12), Musical Theatre Methods, and serves as an MECA Instructor. She holds a BA in instrumental music education from Eastern Illinois University and an MA in choral music education from VanderCook. Currently, she teaches general music and directs choir and musical theatre at Jackson Middle School in Villa Park, IL.
Her professional activities include directing youth theatre productions (e.g., Zombies the Musical, Elf JR) and mainstage productions like Spamalot and Hairspray. She actively contributes to VanderCook’s MECA program through workshops such as “Musical Theatre Workshop: Planning, Production and Performance” and “Bringing Out the Best in Young Singers.”
Giordano is a sought-after choral clinician, adjudicator, and accompanist. Her 2018 achievement includes leading Jackson Middle School’s Concert Choir to perform at the IMEC All-State Music Convention.
