Kimberley Denis is a Sessional Instructor in Voice at The King's University's Music Department. She holds advanced degrees in vocal performance, choral conducting, and education, including an M.Mus from the University of Alberta and diplomas from Red Deer College. Known for her dynamic performances, she is a sought-after soloist, choral clinician, and adjudicator.

Research & Performance Interests: Vocal technique, choral ensemble direction, and interdisciplinary music theatre. Her work bridges classical and contemporary vocal styles, with a focus on community and liturgical music engagement.
Recent Work: Conducting Shumayela (Kokopelli Apprentice Choir) and the Lynne Singers, vocal coaching for theatre productions, and arranging music for choirs published by Cypress Music and Augsburg Fortress. She is also a music editor for Woodland Cree Dene songwriter Sherryl Sewepagaham.
Awards & Recognition:
- Nominated for the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award (2010 & 2012)
Community & Church Roles: Worship leader at Chalmers Castledowns United Church and music director for multiple congregations since 2000. She founded Shumayela in 2006 and leads MusiCamp Alberta's vocal programs.
